Get into the 1960s groove as Vina Robles Winery hosts the “British Invasion,” a live concert tribute to the classic songs of the Rolling Stones and The Beatles on Aug. 28 at the winery’s hospitality center in Paso Robles. The event, which is a benefit for Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County, will be hosted by Seth Blackburn of Q104.5 FM. The cost is $25 per person. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., British car show at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress in their grooviest 1960s-style attire. Rolling Stones and Beatles covers will be performed by Unfinished Business on the winery concert lawn. Unfinished Business is a Central Coast-based band that specializes in 1960s-era rock and roll.
English-style fish and chips, fine ales and Vina Robles wines will be available for purchase throughout the evening. A silent auction will feature special magnums from local wineries. Other festivities include showings of the Ed Sullivan Shows featuring the Beatles in the Vina Robles Signature Room, as well as a display of vintage British automobiles and motorcycles courtesy of the San Diego MG Car Club, the Southern California MINI Maniacs Car Club and local enthusiast Steve Eorio. “This is a one-of-a-kind local musical event for a good cause,” said Marc Laderriere, the winery’s director of sales and marketing. “It will be fun for the entire family, so come out and dance with us.”
