SOFTEC, The Central Coast Software and Technology Association will host its 15th Annual Central Coast High Technology Companies Symposium, “Connecting the Dots, Leveraging Local Resources to Help Entrepreneurs,” on Wednesday, September 28, at the Madonna Inn from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will educate Central Coast entrepreneurs on ways to track down and employ the countless local resources available to them. Tickets are $59 at www.softec.org. The event is open to the public and includes dinner.
"The theme for this year’s Softec Symposium came from a consensus among Softec, the EVC, and the SLO Chamber that all businesses need resources to succeed,” said Russ Levanway, Softec President, “but the majority of businesses aren’t fully aware of all the local resources available to them. We will give entrepreneurs a clear picture of what local resources are available and how they can utilize these resources to start and grow their businesses.” The Symposium will feature keynote speaker Rick Stollmeyer, founder of MindBody, presenting “The MindBody Story.” In addition, two panels of local entrepreneurs will present concrete, practical information regarding local resources. The first panel, Finding the Right Dots to Connect – How We Did It!, includes three successful business owners who will present their personal case studies on using local resources. The final panel, A Closer Look at Connecting the Dots, will include a group of ten organizations that will lead attendees through the roadmap of local resources that businesses can use to launch, grow, and be profitable. Opening remarks will be made by Russ Levanway, President of Softec and Ermina Karim, CEO of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce. The event will be moderated by Michael Gunther, founder of Collaboration LLC.
