The League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County is hosting a candidates’ forum for the California state Senate’s District 15 seat on Monday at Cuesta College. The forum will be moderated by Joan Rich of the League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County. It will be open to the public and held from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 5401 on the San Luis Obispo campus at the Student Center. Topics of the forum will include children and families, health and education-related issues, as well as other subjects. Parking and admittance to the forum is free. Attendees are asked to park in lot 2 located near the forum. Classes will not be in session until the fall semester begins on Aug. 16. The forum will be replayed on Charter Communications channel 19 and government access channel 21. The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters, the County Office of Education, First 5 of San Luis Obispo County, Children’s Services Network of San Luis Obispo County, the San Luis Obispo County P-16 Council, The Independent Living Resource Center and The Tribune.
