Learn how to write effective grant requests PDF Print E-mail

Feb. 16, 2010 ---

The San Luis Obispo Library is offering two workshops on the use of the GrantStation website.

County public libraries, in partnership with the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation, recently began offering free access to GrantStation at seven local library branches: San Luis Obispo; Arroyo Grande; Atascadero; Morro Bay; Los Osos; Nipomo; and Cambria.

GrantStation teaches users how to write effective grant requests. It also provides access to a searchable database of grantmakers that accept inquiries from a variety of organizations, as well as federal deadlines, links to state funding agencies, and a growing database of international grantmakers.

There will be two sessions:

  • Tuesday, February 23, from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 27, from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

Both take place at the second floor computer lab in the San Luis Obispo City Library, 995 Palm Street.

There is no charge, but advanced registration is required due to space limitations.

To register or for more information, please call 781-5989.
