Dr. Delvis Levy, the president and founder of the Cuba American Alliance Education Fund, Inc., a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating policy makers on issues that directly impact the lives of Cubans and Americans, will speak to the community at Cal Poly on Thursday. The Jewish Community Center of San Luis Obispo (JCCSLO), in partnership with the Cal Poly Ethnic Studies Department, History Department and the Political Science Department, is sponsoring the event. Delvis covers Cuban history and development through his Jewish family history, prior to the revolution to present day. The alliance works for family reunification and promotes engagements of mutual benefit between the people of Cuba and of the U.S. This event is free and open to the public on Feb. 4 at 5 p.m. at the University Union (Building 65), room 220 on the Cal Poly campus.
