The Human Resources Association of the Central Coast annual conference features keynote speaker Richard Simmons, Esq. on Friday, October 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Madonna Inn.

Topics include: Wage and Hour Law and Developments, Supreme Court Cases, Personnel Policies, Social Media Policies, Employment Discrimination, Legal Developments, and Legislation of Interest.

Early Bird rate is $45 for members and $55 for non-members through noon, October 7. Late Registration is $55 for members and $65 for non-members through October 21. A breakfast buffet begins at 7:30 a.m., and the speaking event begins promptly at 8 a.m. Register through www.hracc.net.

Richard J. Simmons is a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.  Mr. Simmons represents employers in various labor relations matters involving state and federal wage and hour laws, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, employee discipline and termination, employee benefits, affirmative action, union representation proceedings, and contract arbitrations.  He holds a J.D. from the University of California and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts summa cum laude. He is the former Editor-in-Chief of the Industrial Relations Law Journal (now the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law). 

Regular professional development meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at The Madonna Inn. Agenda: Networking, 11:30 a.m.-Noon; Lunch served at Noon; Professional Development Program Noon-1 p.m. Non-members are welcome. Meetings with lunch are currently $20 for members with advance reservations; members with late reservations are $25; guests with lunch are $25; and non-members with lunch are $30. Meetings without lunch are currently $10 for members, guests, and non-members. Payment must be made at the door or via PayPal through www.hracc.net.
