How to start, grow, expand with SBA loans PDF Print E-mail

The Mission Community Services Corporation (MCSC) and its Women’s Business Center (WBC) want to help you learn to finance your entrepreneurial dreams with Small Business Administration (SBA) guaranteed loans - from small loans for home-based businesses to multimillion dollar real estate and manufacturing transactions.

On Friday from noon to 1 p.m. the MCSC and WBC will host a Brown Bag Dialogue with presenter Kay Mardon, a SBA lender relations specialist. Join them at 71 Zaca Lane, Ste.130, in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Mardon will discuss the Commercial Real Estate Refinancing Temporary Program that allows for the refinancing of owner-occupied commercial real estate (CRE). This new program provides guarantees on loans for the development of real estate and other fixed assets.

Small businesses facing maturity of commercial mortgages or balloon payments before December 31, 2012, may apply. Borrowers will be able to refinance up to 90 percent of the current appraised property value or 100 percent of the outstanding mortgage, whichever is lower, plus eligible refinancing cost. A key feature of the new program is that it does not require an expansion of the business in order to qualify.

Mardon is the lender relations specialist and international trade representative from the US Small Business Administration, Fresno District Office. She is also the women's business ownership representative for the SBA in our district.
