The community can watch a classic '80s film and help the San Luis Obispo County Food Bank Coalition at the third annual charity movie night under the stars at the historic Jack House in downtown San Luis Obispo this month. On Aug. 26, the Young Professional Networking Group (YPNG) is hosting the event, featuring the film "Ghostbusters" around 8 p.m. The doors open at 6 p.m. and ticket packages start at $10, which include raffle tickets with chances to win massages, wine packages, restaurant gift certificates and much more. All proceeds will benefit the Food Bank.
Beer, local wine and food will be available prior to the movie showing. No outside food or beverages will be permitted, except for canned goods for the on-site Food Bank bin. This is a chance to enjoy a nice summer evening with great food, beverages and entertainment in downtown SLO while helping the community. The SLO County Food Bank feeds more than 25,000 residents in our community every day; many are children from families whose income is not sufficient enough to make ends meet. Tickets, details and a promotional video of the event are available online at www.ypng.org/ghostbusters. Bring a blanket or low back chair, canned goods and your appetite. Seats are limited.
