The Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo us hosting a seminar in honor of all women during a free Women’s Day Tea.
Those events will occur Wednesday, May 5 at French Hospital Medical Center in the hospital’s Auditorium from 2 p.m. to 4 p..m. "The highlight of these events will be informative presentations by local professionals of special interest to women. Women can take this opportunity to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea and educate themselves," said Katherine Guthrie, Regional Director, CHW Central Coast Cancer Service Areas. "We would like to show our appreciation and admiration for the difference women make in the lives of their children, families and communities."
Speakers at the French Hospital tea will include Zoe Wells, N.D., and writer Heather Mendel. Dr. Wells specializes in natural medicine including cancer wellness and maintaining health through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Mendel is a highly sought after speaker and writer who has a unique perspective as both a feminist and a South African-American woman. Both women will talk about transitions, transformation and wellness on the journey towards empowerment, hope and healing.
