The City of San Luis Obispo Public Works Department breaks ground for the Railroad Safety Bicycle and Pedestrian Trail "Missing Link" on May 19 at 3 p.m. on California Boulevard and Campus Way.

The Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo, led by 2007-08 President Roxanne Carr and her board, donated $50,000 for the safety fence and launched a successful $35,000 community fundraising campaign to complete the "missing link" connecting the City bike trail to the Cal Poly bike trail system.

Attendees are encouraged to walk or bike to the event, but vehicle parking is available at the Sierra Vista Hospital parking structure on Casa Street.
