Fat Cats Café celebrated the opening of its second location with a special ribbon cutting presented by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 14.
The unique restaurant is located at 1085 Higuera St. in downtown San Luis Obispo, Calif. After 25 years serving tourists, locals, fisherman, Diablo Canyon Power Plant employees, college students and more at its location in Port San Luis Harbor, Fat Cats opened its second place in the heart of SLO.
Fat Cats Café is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can dine inside or enjoy an open patio.
Chef Inocente Garcia's award winning-menu is not only the recipient of many awards, but is a feast for the senses. Sunset Magazine has deemed Fat Cats Cafe, "The place where the locals go!"

Citizens for John Hager celebrated its membership with the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce in September with a special ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Chamber.
Hager is running as an Independent for California's 23rd Congressional District.
Hager graduated from USC law school in 1974 and passed the bar on his first attempt later that year. He has drafted bills which have become California law, and has numerous published decisions in the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court that are also part of California law. |

San Luis Obispo celebrated the arrival of its new double-decker bus on Tuesday with a ribbon cutting featuring city officials.
The 14-foot-high vehicle replaces two older buses and was paid for mostly through federal grants. The $844,000 bus seats about 80 people and began service on Tuesday.
According to city officials, no general fund money was used to purchase the bus. |
