Verdin Marketing Ink (VMI) recently received a Platinum MarCom Award for their SLO Select Independent Practice Association (IPA) Marketing Campaign and a Gold Award for the French Hospital Foundation Gala "Satin & Syrah" Invitation, as well as an honorable mention for the SLO County Community Foundation's 2008 Annual Report, "Supporting Our Community from the Ground, Up."

The awards recognize outstanding work on marketing  projects over the past year. These awards are in addition to the six ADDYs VMI won in March of this year.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes  outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals.

Judges for the awards consist of thousands of creative experts who look for companies whose work exceed a high standard of excellence and serves as a  benchmark for the industry.

The MarCom Platinum award is the most prestigious of the awards and is given to those applicants judged to be among the most outstanding  entries in the competition. VMI received the Platinum award for SLO Select IPA's recent marketing campaign.

The several month promotion of the doctor group helped establish a community wide reputation for their excellent  service and commitment to the local community through the use of print ads, direct mailers, and a new, comprehensive website.

MarCom Gold awards are given to those applicants judged to  exceed the high standards of the industry norm and was given to VMI for the  invitation created for the French Hospital Medical Center Foundation Gala.

The invitation for the occasion titled "Satin & Syrah" introduced the event  with an elegant and classy feel by designing a wine label to place  electronically on custom photography, that included all the details of the event.

An honorable mention was also given to the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation Annual Report, which had a theme of sustainability, both in terms of organizations and our environment.

This was the first year the Foundation directed readers to their website for full stories of impact about their donors and funds.
