San Luis Obispo Creative and Marketing Alliance (SLOCAMA) welcomes interested parties to their next meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, April 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Joey Leslie and Chris Noble from Causemedia Group (formerly Kompolt) will discuss the International event Twestival and how, by using social media, they got people offline and attending events around the world, raising over $450,000 in the process. Leslie and Noble work on social media campaigns for some of the most recognized brands in the world.

Noble, CEO, began his career running grassroots political campaigns at the state level across the US. He took his love for organizing teams into the technology world where he led successful teams to develop new products and bring them to market for more than 14 years; from five guys in a garage to IPO and just about everything in between.

Causemedia Group has run more than 600 campaigns and raised more than $25 million for charity by bringing brands, celebrities, and nonprofits together with social media. His goal is to make it easier for non-profits to raise money.

Leslie, President of Studio Good, originally joined Causemedia group as VP of Digital Strategy for Kompolt. Prior to that, Leslie served as the Manager of E-Marketing for the Motion Picture & Television Fund, the entertainment industry’s foremost resource for charitable assistance, health care and retirement care.

Leslie brings more than 13 years of experience creating and managing unique charitable auctions for major entertainment studios, large national charities and dozens of Fortune 500 companies. He has directed online and offline cause campaigns that have raised more than $20 million for non-profits across the United States. Leslie understands the fund-raising paradigm is shifting. He’s one of the guys shifting it.

SLOCAMA endeavors to bring local communications professionals together to offer a forum for networking and educational seminars related to marketing. The group was formed in 2004.

Meetings are $5 per person and are held at 5:30pm at BIG IMAGES/iii DESiGN, 767 Francis Ave, San Luis Obispo.
