It may seem like an odd match – Saturday morning Farmers’ Market farmers and the International LA Auto Show. But designers from Ford Motor Co. have picked the popular Saturday Farmers’ Market as an “authentic” destination to help promote the 2013 Ford Escape.
Ford will present its new Escape at the Los Angeles Auto Show, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Nov. 18 to Nov. 27, 2011. As many as 900,000 visitors from around the world are expected to attend.
Ford has chosen to identify the Escape with destinations that capture the essence of its brand. It has designated the SLO Saturday Farmers’ Market as the top “lifestyle” destination, identifying its unique atmosphere as one that exemplifies the best qualities of a friendly, healthy and rewarding lifestyle, all qualities that have been enjoyed by thousands of market patrons. Farmers representing the local market will participate along side Ford representatives, sharing their personal stories about farming and the Saturday Farmers’ Market.

Ford and the SLO Farmers’ Market will co-brand on 5,000 reusable grocery bags displaying the Ford and SLO FMA logos. Visitors will be given a taste of what the Saturday Farmers’ Market is all about.
The San Luis Obispo Saturday Farmers’ Market has provided quality produce and food products to Central Coast families for more than 33 years. The market operates every week throughout the year from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
