Epicureans have once again reason to be jubilant as the Friends of the Prado Day Center prepare for the second Culinary Carnival.

On February 5, 2010, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the San Luis Obispo Embassy Suites Hotel, the event will once again surprise with culinary delights carefully prepared by regional celebrity chefs and restaurants. Each dish will be specially paired with local wines and beers. The festivities will also feature live music by The QuieT Knights, silent auction, and the live auction of a ceramic Venitian mask by local artist Pamela McKenna.

Enjoy gourmet food tastefully prepared by six local chefs and restaurants. Taste wine and beer from local wineries and brewers carefully paired with the culinary delights. The emcee will be 2009 Chamber board member Betsey Nash, and The QuieT Knights will provide some music.

A live auction will feature a ceramic Venetian mask by local artist Pamela McKenna and many great silent auction items.

Culinary Carnival is a fundraiser for the Prado Day Center for the Homeless.

In its second year, the Carnival is Friends of Prado's largest fundraising event, with all proceeds supporting the day-to-day operation of the Prado Day Center.

Since September 1997, Prado has provided essential day-to-day services for homeless members of our community. Meals served by People's Kitchen, showers, laundry facilities and other vital services are available. The road of self-sufficiency is also aided with assistance for those seeking employment, housing referrals, social services, and enriching activities for the children
