After reading over 30 emails and letters from non-profit organizations across San Luis Obispo County, Quaglino Roofing has selected the Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County as the recipient of a new roof.

“We received many emotional and compelling entries,” said Quaglino Roofing President, Matt Quaglino. “But the Boys & Girls Club really grabbed our attention, and after we visited the site, we decided they needed a roof quickly, in order to continue their program.” 

Located in Paso Robles, Calif., the Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County has been placing trashcans and buckets throughout the building, catching drops of water and preventing children and staff from getting dripped on.

“We have been seeking options to repair our leaking roof for the past few years, and no estimate has been able to accommodate our budget,” said Resource Development Director Beth Rey. “We are so incredibly grateful the Quaglinos chose us, as this will impact over 285 children.”

The Quaglinos started the project on May 12 and have partnered with Jack Ayers from R&S Supply, who have generously donated a portion of the roofing materials.

The Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County opened in 1991, in response to the lack of resources children and parents had for high quality and affordable after school programming.
