Seating is available along the route.
Opening Ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. on Dexter Lawn. Activities following opening ceremonies include a Kids Fair, live music, Robotics Showcase, the Cal Poly Tractor Pull, Cal Poly Rodeo, Open House Concert and many other events. More than 200 student clubs and organizations will offer educational, information and concession booths from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is free, and all parking lots will be reserved for visitors. Tune your radio to 1610 AM for Open House traffic and parking information. The Open House committee and student clubs will be on Broad Street at Farmers Market in Downtown San Luis Obispo on Thursday, April 15. April 16 is open to conditionally admitted students and their supporters. That day’s activities include an opportunity to meet college deans, tour the campus and departments and become acquainted with the resources available to Cal Poly students. Open House is planned by a committee of student volunteers working under Student Life & Leadership’s Orientation Programs, in collaboration with the community, student clubs, faculty, and staff. Orientation Programs coordinates three programs for new Cal Poly students and their families: Open House, Student Orientation & Advising Resources and Week of Welcome.
