French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) has officially opened the French Health Center, a comprehensive primary care practice in San Luis Obispo, at its new, permanent location at 1941 Johnson Ave., Suite 301. The Center opened on October 3, after significant remodeling and renovations. This new practice is intended to meet the primary healthcare needs of San Luis Obispo residents and is now accepting new patients.
“This is an exciting new chapter for both the hospital and the community because it offers better healthcare options,” said FHMC President Alan Iftiniuk. “With changes in healthcare reform, this is our way of creating an integrated and seamless health care delivery system by providing greater access to primary care and hospital services.”
French Health Center’s primary care practitioners have been serving San Luis Obispo County for more than 30 years and are well-known community members. The health center’s Scott Robertson, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and is the current Chief of Staff for Arroyo Grande Community Hospital; Armando Siqueiros, MD, received his medical degree from the University of California Irvine and is the past president of the San Luis Obispo County Medical Society; and Coleen Wolfe, FNP, received her family nurse practitioner license from the University of California Los Angeles School of Nursing. The physicians are members of Physicians Choice Medical Group.
