meathead mini storageMeathead Mini Storage, the new storage facility developed in part by the founders of Meathead Movers, opened on Saturday.

The facility offers a range of unit sizes for personal and commercial use, covered vehicle and boat storage. The 114,000-square-feet self-storage facility is housed adjacent to the company's 5,200-square-feet headquarters and operation center.

"We are thrilled to have grown our business in our hometown and we are so thankful to have the support of the community," says Evan Steed, Vice President, Meathead Mini Storage. "After firmly establishing ourselves in the moving business, adding a self-storage component was a natural step. In this new venture, our customers will still experience Meathead Movers famous customer service, while using the latest self-storage technology."

In 1997, San Luis Obispo high school students Aaron and Evan Steed’s wrestling and football team commitments and academic schedules did not facilitate a conventional after school job.

To earn some pocket money, they helped a friend’s parents move. Through word of mouth, they began helping other families in the community.

As demand grew, Aaron and Evan enlisted athletic friends to help with the jobs, and the Meathead Movers started building a reputation as hard-working, polite, careful, and honest young men. In the subsequent 13 years, the company has grown to over 180 employees, services the entire state of California, and has won multiple awards.

For optimal storage, Meathead Mini Storage offers a concierge service, advising on appropriate unit size for storage, packing and storage tips, and suggesting services to make moving and storage most convenient.

Security cameras are located throughout the facility, and record twenty four hours a day. The storage facility also has a gate that can only be accessed by authorized users.
