The Central Coast chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will install its 2009-10 Board of Directors at its Sept. 15 dinner meeting scheduled to take place at 6:15 p.m. at the Historic Santa Maria Inn. Past NAWIC National President, Mary Ellen Ledbetter, and Region 12 Director, Ellen Colglazier, will install the new Board of Directors. Incoming officers include President Joan Hertel - Westberg + White Architects; Vice President Lori Kruger - Allamakee West Construction; and Treasurer Tami Jo Dotson – JR Barto Heating and Sheet Metal. Directors include Melanie Smith – E & J Electric; Wendi Patterson – United Staffing Associates; Donna Castaneda – Diani Building Corporation; and Denise Riegel – JR Barto Heating and Sheet Metal.
NAWIC is a not-for-profit organization providing educational and networking opportunities to local women affiliated with the construction industry. Attendees include students, company owners, managers, and personnel who work closely with construction-related issues in their organizations. Monthly meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month. Cost to attend this month’s installation dinner program is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Guests are welcome to attend.
