Hathway, one of San Luis Obispo's creative digital agencies that focuses on web development, graphic design and innovative marketing strategies, recently contributed to the Kid’s Cancer Research Foundation (KCRF).

KCRF is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of pediatric cancer by connecting financial donors with forward thinking doctors whose research could provide a cure. Its focus will be primarily on neuroblastoma, increasing the likelihood of curing this form of cancer, while also unlocking solutions for combating other forms of cancer including breast, kidney, brain and liver, as well as melanoma and glioblastoma.

Frank Kalman, a local San Luis Obispo businessman, founded KCRF after experiencing his daughter Calli’s struggle with neuroblastoma. Since the age of 12, Calli has fought this disease tremendously.

Throughout this time Kalman came in contact with many dedicated medical researchers at national cancer research institutions such as Baylor College of Medicine, the Neil Bogart Memorial Laboratories, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Research Institute, and Texas Children’s Hospital. 

In conjunction with Level Studios, Andres, Morris, & Buttery law firm, and Rubin Postaer & Associates (RPA), Hathway is working with KCRF to give them a firm platform on which to establish their incredible organization.

Hathway provided a comprehensive website for KCRF, which allows victims and donors alike the opportunity to learn more about the organization and donate through a secure portal, at endkidscancer.org. Hathway is also working with KCRF to develop a strong web presence through social media. 

Kalman’s daughter, Calli, is now a student at Cal Poly and has seen the great community in San Luis Obispo stand up and support her and others affected by neuroblastoma. The Hathway team said recently that it's honored to become a part of this cause.
