The San Luis Obispo Downtown Association announced the 2010 Concerts in the Plaza band lineup. From more than 50 applicants, 13 of the areas greatest musical groups were selected to play for the upcoming annual concert season that kicks off June 4 and runs every Friday through August 27.

The SLO Downtown Association Promotions Committee juried the entries, all local talent, based on a variety of criteria and eligibility with overall objectives of providing a diverse mix of musical styles, adding new artists while showcasing long time crowd favorites and ensuring that the music appeals to all sectors of the community.

The lineup for 2010 is:

• Damon Castillo Band
• Grüvething
• Pacific City
• Resination
• Sam Sharp and The Tradeins
• Siko
• The JD Project
• The Shival Experience
• Tropo
• Truth About Seafood
• Zongo All-Stars

Performance dates have not yet been assigned. Musical styles range from rock, blues, reggae and Americana to country, CaliCubano and California rock.  All concerts are free to the public and run weekly from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A limited number of sponsorships are still available.
