The American Dance of SLO members became stars of their own Disney show in May when they took the stage at Plaza Gardens Stage at the Disneyland Resort.

The San Luis Obispo dance studio traveled from San Luis Obispo to the Disneyland Resort in California to take part in a Disney Performing Arts program.

Dance groups, choirs, ensembles and marching bands from around the world apply to perform each year as part of Disney Performing Arts at both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts. Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at the resort for an international audience of theme park guests.

Millions of performers have graced the stages of the Disney parks over the course of the program, which has a 25-plus years history.

American Dance of SLO has been serving San Luis Obispo County for more than 20 years. The studio offers a wide variety of dance classes to all age groups and skill levels.

American Dance operates with an emphasis on self-esteem and a family-friendly atmosphere, and strives to promote dance in local schools and the community.

The studio offers small class sizes and structured instruction, and its instructors work off a syllabus and all students get individual attention.

Disney Performing Arts offers band, choral, dance and auxiliary performers the opportunity to learn, perform and compete at the Disneyland Resort.
