Hospice Partners of the Central Coast recently announced the opening of San Luis Obispo County’s first hospice inpatient care unit. Hospice Partners Inpatient Unit at Mission View Health Center is a collaborative effort between Hospice Partners of the Central Coast and Compass Health. A special open house will be held on March 10 from 2 to 4 pm. The work began in 2009 when studies determined the need for a family centered end-of-life acute care component that provides 24-hour care in a comfortable, home-like environment for patients and their families. The unit will admit patients beginning in March 2011. After an initial grant from The Hearst Foundation and subsequent contributions from local businesses and individuals, renovations began on the 32-bed wing at Compass Health’s Mission View Health Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif. |

TekTegrity, one of San Luis Obispo County’s largest providers of managed IT services, has acquired LiveFile. LiveFile helps businesses simplify the process of converting, using and managing files through Cabinet CNG-SAFE (Shared Access Filing Environment), a document management and workflow software product. “Most businesses find a way to operate with their documents scattered across filing cabinets, shared drives and personal hard drives. At some point this inefficient approach becomes too costly – due to compliance, physical space, labor or some combination of the three,” said Russ Levanway, TekTegrity chief executive officer. ”As a Cabinet re-seller and support system, TekTegrity will now be able to offer clients hosted and server based document management solutions to clear up these inefficiencies. All those cabinets and boxes of documents can then be shredded or stored in a secure facility that specializes in document storage – imagine the space that can be freed up.”
Cabinet NG is software that allows users to file all documents whether they are scanned images, Word, Excel, PDF, CAD, email, photos, faxes, etc. Users can scan, import, drag- and-drop, print-to, or save-as to input documents. All documents are stored in their native format in a centralized storage and workflow system.
Another feature of Cabinet NG is document workflow processes. These processes are the lifeblood of a company. Examples are processing invoices for payment, reviewing contracts, entering billing information, order entry, etc. |
