Three of the four candidates for San Luis Obispo Mayor spoke to the business community Wednesday and all said they are against Measure H.
"I see this as an issue that has to do with stopping, chopping, amputating Prado Road rather than allowing it to connect," Jan Marx said regarding Measure H.
Paul Brown, former City Council member and businessman, Andrew Farrell, Cal Poly student and nonprofit volunteer, and Marx, current City Council member and attorney, attended the first mayoral candidates’ forum, hosted by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. Donald Hedrick, a welder who is also running, was invited but did not attend. Among other topics discussed were binding arbitration, SLO's head-of-household jobs, the City's relationship with the business community and how to cultivate a better relationship with the City and Cal Poly.
