The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce took home honors for its web sites, www.slochamber.org and www.visitslo.com, from the 2009 Western Association of Chamber Executives conference in February.

The sites were awarded Honorable Mention, the equivalent of third place, in the annual contest for chamber web sites in the Western United States and British Columbia.

The sites were judged on overall design, technical functionality, usability, content and specific site features. The judges praised the Chamber's sites as easy to navigate with great content and beautiful photography. They also lauded the Chamber for featuring robust visitor information and rich content.

The Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) promotes education and professional development for chamber executives and staff, representing over 850 chamber professionals in 15 Western states and British Columbia, Canada.
