The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce is again taking members and their guests to China, following successful, sold-out trips the last two years.
This year's Business Leaders Trip to China, set for Nov. 3-12, has an additional option of visiting Guilin to see the Reed Flute Cave and take a boat cruise on the Li River as well as stops in four cities and an alternate option to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an.
For the third year, the Chamber is partnering with Citslinc International, a tour company that specializes in taking American business people to China to study its business system. The popularity of the first two trips led the Chamber to plan a third one.
"Members who went told us how valuable it was to them," said Chamber President and CEO Dave Garth, who went on the inaugural trip. "They learned so much about the Chinese economy and saw first-hand how the Chinese government regulates commerce. They also found the excursions to be a good way to network with other members, and it was a great bonding experience for everyone."
The Chamber group will travel to Beijing, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai, with visits to historic and modern sites, cultural attractions and encounters. The tour cost is $1,999 and includes airfare, hotel stays, three meals a day, all transportation, admission charges and Visa fee. The optional trips to Xi'an or Guilin are available at additional cost. Space is limited, and the Chamber expects the trip to sell out.
