It’s that time of year again to vote for your Board of Directors. Members of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce can once again vote exclusively online for the Chamber’s 2012 Board of Directors.

Members will choose from 13 nominees who represent the diversity of the local business community to fill nine openings.

The 2012 Board nominees in alphabetical order are William (Bill) Borgsmiller of Aviation Consultants Inc. and San Luis Jet Center; Cheryl Cuming of San Luis Obispo County Business Improvement District; Kathy Eppright of Andre, Morris and Buttery; Donna Lewis of Central Coast Mortgage Consultants; Eric Linkugel of Pacific Gas & Electric Company; Candace (Candy) Markwith of Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center; Bruce Ray of the Tribune and SanLuisObispo.com; Missy Reitner-Cameron of iii DESiGN, Inc.; Marco Rizzo of Café Roma Restaurant; Rick Stollmeyer of MINDBODY, Inc.; Barry VanderKelen of San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation; Stacey White of Mode Associates; and Matthew Woods of REC Solar.

Members may select up to nine of the 13 nominees to join the 2012 Board of Directors via www.bigpulse.com, a secure, electronic voting system. Board members are elected to serve a two-year term beginning in January.

Next year's Board of Directors will also include the following returning board members: Michael Gunther of Collaboration LLC; Erik Justesen of RRM Design Group; Amy Kardel of Clever Ducks; Russ Levanway of TekTegrity; Susan Opava of Research and Graduate Programs at Cal Poly; Anita Robinson of Mission Community Bank; Pierre Rademaker of Rademaker Design; John Spatafore of John A. Spatafore Attorney at Law; Bill Thoma of Thoma Electric; Hillary Trout of Longcrier & Associates; and Tim Williams of Digital West Networks, Inc.

The Chamber will send each member a unique username and password via e-mail, which ensures that each member can only vote once and each vote will be completely anonymous. The poll will be open for 12 days, from Wednesday, Oct. 18 – Monday, Nov. 1.

Once members cast their vote, they will receive an e-mail confirmation that will include the date and time of their vote as well as who they voted for.

Members should expect to receive their e-mail ballot today (Wednesday).
