Next year’s Chamber trip takes members and friends on a 10-day journey across the Emerald Isle, a land renowned for its “forty shades of green,” filled with rolling hills, warm people, stately castles and rollicking fun. San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce members will travel to Ireland with friends and associates from San Luis Obispo and build relationships that last a lifetime.
On the trip, guests will - enjoy an evening of fun with traditional Irish entertainment,
- travel the Ring of Kerry, one of the world’s most beautiful coastal routes,
- meet an Irish family during a visit to a working Irish farm, and have coffee and scones while they explain their everyday life,
- behold the spectacular beauty of the Cliffs of Moher, and
- stay overnight on the grounds of a castle and experience old Ireland at its finest.
For the first year, the Chamber is partnering with Collette Vacations, a global leader of world travel that offers escorted vacation experiences on all seven continents. The Chamber trip is scheduled for March 24 - April 2, 2011 with 13 meals included in the rate of $2,619 (double), $3,069 (single), and $$2,589 (triple). The Trip Orientation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo City/County Library Community Room, 995 Palm St. Included in the price are transportation to SFO, hotel transfers, tours, some meals and round-trip airfare from San Francisco International Airport.
Collette Vacations was named to Travel and Leisure magazine’s “World’s Best Awards 2010” in the Tour Operators and Safari Outfitters category.
