The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of San Luis Obispo, is proud to announce the launch of www.openforbusinessinslo.com, a website that is intended to assist business people who are interested in starting, expanding or relocating their business to San Luis Obispo. Rich with content, data and local resource information, the site significantly enhances the user experience for business people that are evaluating whether San Luis Obispo is well-suited for their business and for those who are seeking the resources to be successful.

The site, which can also be located through both the City of San Luis Obispo (www.slocity.org) and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce (www.slochamber.org) websites, is intended to showcase the region’s lifestyle assets, connect them with local business successes and then provide the tools for success. The site integrates robust features and functionality including: - Local economic data and site selection tools

This joint effort of the City and the Chamber was funded by the City of San Luis Obispo Promotional Coordinating Committee. It was designed and developed by iii DESiGN, a San Luis Obispo-based graphic and web design studio. At www.openforbusinessinslo.com, businesses will find information on economic development and doing business in San Luis Obispo. The website will also feature developments in the city’s efforts on head-of-household job creation, including its planned economic development strategy. Claire Clark, the City’s Economic Development Manager, adds that “the site has been designed to welcome businesses considering re- locating or expanding in the City of San Luis Obispo by conveying the community’s vision and values with an open-for-business attitude.”
