The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Advocacy Committee (TAC) released its bi-annual, online Technology Survey on June 8 to gauge current trends, needs and issues facing the Central Coast technology community. The TAC encourages anyone who uses technology in the workplace to take the survey and provide thoughtful feedback. The online survey can be taken at slochamber.org or by clicking here, and should only take 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The survey is anonymous. Year after year, the survey results have proved to play a key role in shaping public policy and enacting change that enhances the Central Coast’s technology industry. The SLO Chamber and other organizations use the survey results to better understand and provide solutions for the challenges faced by local tech companies.
“I can’t stress enough how significant a role the results from this Technology Survey will play in shaping the future economic development of the city and county,” says SLO Chamber President Dave Garth. “Past survey results have influenced policy change, encouraged a stronger partnership with Cal Poly, impacted zoning ordinances, helped form our Economic Vision, and so much more – all of which has been intended to make it easier for tech-related companies to do business on the Central Coast.” Anyone can share the survey with others by providing a link to the survey in company newsletters, blogs, websites, or social media accounts. Results of the survey will be available to the public at slochamber.org, and a more comprehensive report of the findings will be available to those who take the survey. Take the survey now at slochamber.org. The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Advocacy Committee (TAC) is a group of SLO Chamber business professionals whose companies design, manufacture, market, and/or maintain high-tech products and services with the intent of promoting an environment to attract and retain these types of companies in the county.
