Supervisor Candidates ForumWith the June 8 primary elections just around the corner, business leaders have a chance to ask the candidates running for San Luis Obispo County Supervisor questions that are important to them.

The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Council presents the Supervisor Candidates Forum on May 21 from noon to 1:30 p.m., when each candidate for the 2nd and 4th districts will make a short presentation, then answer the audience’s questions.

The person who wins the seat for SLO County Supervisor will be extremely influential and will make policy decisions that affect the business community. So it’s important that businesses have a good understanding of who is running, and what each candidate plans for their respective districts.

Candidates vying for the 2nd District seat are Bruce Gibson and Marshall Ochylski, and the candidates running for the 4th District seat are Jim Guthrie, Paul Teixeira, and Mike Zimmerman.

To register for the Supervisor Candidates Forum, click here. Registration is $20, which includes lunch and the program. Space is limited, and absolutely no walk-ins are permitted. The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 19 at 5 p.m.
