The Central Coast’s largest business-to-business trade show has gotten a face lift this year, with a new location, new theme and more booth space to provide a better experience for all attendees.
The business community is invited to attend this annual event to mingle with local business leaders, enjoy giveaways, samples, door and raffle prizes, food and refreshments on May 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Alex Madonna Expo Center, 100 Madonna Rd in San Luis Obispo.
“This year’s theme, ‘New York, New York: From Broad Street to Broadway,’ offers exhibitors endless possibilities to make fun, unique booth spaces that will draw a crowd and hopefully create a great experience for all attendees,” said Kristin Mehiel, director of membership services for the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.
Just less than two weeks away, the Chamber’s annual Mixer Showcase features more than 150 booths and more than 5,000 people are expected to attend this year. This event is open to the public and admission is free with a business card, or $5 without.
“We’re so excited this year to have the Mixer Showcase at the Alex Madonna Expo Center for the first time ever,” Mehiel said. “With this new location, we created a traditional trade show layout familiar to most businesses.”
Also new this year, KVEC will broadcast live from the event as “Radio City Music Hall” with the Dave Congalton Show interviewing business leaders and showcasing the trade show. And shuttles provided by Ride-On Transportation will transport attendees to the trade show from the parking lot.
The major sponsor for this event is First California Bank, and additional sponsors include KSBY, The Tribune, Madonna Inn, and Itech Solutions. More information can be found at www.slochamber.org.
