Level Studios, one of SLO’s largest technology companies, has been purchased by Princeton, N.J.-based Rosetta, Inc., listed by AdAge in the top 10 digital agencies in the country.

The combination of Level and Rosetta will be in the top five digital agencies nationally with more than 1,000 employees in 10 offices in the U.S. and Canada. Level currently has about 145 employees in SLO and is expected to gross $45 million in 2010. Rosetta’s revenues were $152 million in 2009.

In addition to leading clients like Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Apple and Toyota, Level currently has an exclusive contract to handle marketing and web development for the SLO Tourism Business Improvement District.
