Multi-talented pro gets Governmental Affairs job
"It took us a little while to find the perfect person to fill this position, but it was worth the wait," said Chamber President/CEO Dave Garth. "Patricia brings an extraordinary combination of skills and ability that make her the ideal person to oversee the Chamber's governmental affairs department." Prior to taking her new post at the Chamber, Wilmore served as Academic Dean for Santa Barbara Business College and spent several years as an Instructor at Santa Barbara Community College where she taught government, economics and writing skills. Wilmore also brings a unique perspective to her position at the Chamber — as a small business owner. She and her husband own Econo Lube ‘n Tune on Higuera Street in downtown San Luis Obispo. She earned her bachelor's degree from Kansas Newman University and graduated from Atascadero High School. "As someone who left and has now returned to San Luis Obispo, I am more impressed than ever with the beauty and economic vitality of the area," commented Wilmore. "This position offers a unique opportunity to take part in the vibrant life of the community while also contributing to its present and future well-being."
