Plans set for Education Awards Event

Next month's Membership Mixer will feature a special program and be held on a special date. The April Mixer will feature the Chamber's 2nd Annual Education Recognition Awards Event and will be held the second Wednesday of the month instead of the usual third Wednesday. This special event is set to take place Wednesday, April 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rancho El Chorro.

Members will have a unique opportunity to pay tribute to local educators as well as to meet and mingle with other members of the business community.

The Education Recognition Awards Event, now in its second year, is the brainchild of the Chamber's Education Partnership committee. The event honors business-savvy teachers.

Awards will be given to educators who have existing business partnerships within their classrooms and grants of up to $500 will be awarded to educators who need financial assistance for projects that create or enhance relationships between business and their classrooms or schools.
