Newsmakers/Business Briefs Linda Minton, Vice President/Manager of the Corporate Banking Department for Mid-State Bank in San Luis Obispo, has been elected District Governor for Quota International, one of the organization's highest district positions in Central California. The new Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Cuesta College has a new director. David Ryal will lead the new South Central Coast SBDC serving San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. The Mortgage House's team of mortgage loan professionals continues to expand with the addition of Juan Guzman to the staff. Guzman, who is fluent in Spanish, is working as a loan officer out of the Arroyo Grande office. The San Luis Obispo Symphony has appointed Cate Norton as Development Director. Norton will serve as coordinator of the Symphony's Tour 2000 while designing and upgrading the Symphony's Annual and Endowment campaigns as well as increasing corporate sponsorships. Ziatech Corp.'s innovative high availability solution for mission-critical telecom and Internet equipment applications has been named 1999 Product of the Year by Internet Telephony Magazine.
